Tinsor - Tin Surface Detector

During the conventional manufacturing of float glass over a molten tin, a very thin, hardly visible layer of tin always remains on the glass side of the molten tin. In many production processes where float glass is used, it is very important to know on which side the tin is located.

The Tin surface detector automatically identifies the tin side of the float glass. It is either mounted above or below the transport device, on which the float glass is provided. If the float glass is transported under the detector, the upper side will be identified either as tin side or air side. The successful identification will be displayed by a corresponding light signal.
